Oreo Cupcakes

Cup cakes any one?
Yes, please!! My favorite… Oreo cupcakes

What better way to enjoy your oreo than with a cupcake…. Both cupcakes and oreos have high ranks in our home. Everyone just loves them. So what better way to treat the family, a combination of both!

They are real easy to make. I use my vanilla sponge cake recipe to make them. This makes about 24 cupcakes. All depending on the size of the cupcake holder and how much you fill them.

Grease your muffin tin, line with cupcake holders. Add an oreo cookie to each cupcake holder before you add your batter. Then fill each holder to about 1/3 full.
They will bake in an oven preheated to 180˚C for around 10-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and bouch back when touched. You can also use a toothpick to test if they are ready. When you insert a tooth pick and pull it out the toothpick should be dry, only a few little crumbs should stick to it.

Make a batch of this oreo frosting https://livingdelish.com/oreo-frosting/ to decorate your cupcakes with.
Pipe the icing on top of the cupcakes. Then sprinkle some finely chopped oreos over the top and placed an oreo onto that.

What will you need to make these oreo cupcakes?

1 X batch already baked vanilla cupcakes , please see recipe instructions and follow the tips above to change your cake to cupcakes. https://livingdelish.com/vanilla-sponge-cake/

+/- 24 Oreos plus a little extra for crushing

Where do you start?

Start by baking your cup cakes. Remember that the vanilla sponge cake recipe given above can easy be converted into cupcakes. Follow the tips above to get you started.

Mix your oreo frosting as mentioned in here

Finley crush about 5-8 oreo cookies, and set aside. You do not have to take the insides out. They still crush fine even with the insides still in.

Fit your round nozzle to your piping bag. Pipe your icing onto your cupcakes, start from the outside of your cupcake’s top and pipe in a spiral movement until you reach the center of the cupcake.
Now dip your cupcakes into the crushed oreos.

For the finishing touches you can add an oreo cookie on each cupcake.
These cupcakes will last for about 4 days if you store then in an airtight container.

Providing that you and your family don’t finish them in the first day 😂🤣
