Milo Cookies

Morning Cup of Milo with some Milo Biscuits

I don’t know about you, but as the cool weather sets in I start looking for for something hearty, steamy and warm… A warm cup of Milo just tick all the boxes. Now imagine this with a delicious, chocolaty Milo cookies on the side.

Milo originates from Australia but here in South Africa we also enjoy cups full. This chocolaty and malty drink is truly something.
Milo Muffins, Milo Balls and even Milo cookies, you name it anything with Milo is a firm favorite in our house.

These Cookies are super easy to make not to mention fast to make. This recipe make around 30 cookies, depends on the size.

Milo Cookies

125 g butter, soften
250 ml Caster Sugar
375 ml Cake Flour
5 ml Baking powder
180 ml Milo powder
1 egg, beaten

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 180˚C.
Grease a baking sheet or cookie tray and set aside.

Using a mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and Milo and mix well. Now mix in the flour . This should be a crumbly yet stiff mixture.

Roll the dough into walnut size balls and place on the greased baking tray, leaving enough space between the cookies for spreading. Slightly flatten each cookie before baking them for 10-15 minutes or until baked.

If you want a super Milo cookie, add some Milo to the flatten cookie and slightly press the Milo into the cookie, then bake as normal.

Once the cookies are bake place them on a cooling rack. When the cookies are cooled off store them in a air tight container.
